13 note ()
First of all, this project has no religious connotation. It is merely a present to wish Pedro good holidays. The idea came to me when I read Pedro’s tweet in which he declared to sustain, morally and economically, Stephanie in her fundraising on behalf of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. (You can find the association’s site below.)
Then, I wrote to Stephanie and she said to me that our goal, born to honor a beautiful cause and a polite, sensible and intelligent man – as Pedro has demonstrated to be – can be achieved by joining forces.
What each one of you can do:
The steps are simple and few, but must be followed to the letter to avoid problems when collecting donations and registering them.
Click here for a direct link.
2) Make a donation BEFORE DECEMBER 18th by clicking here: https://afsp.donordrive.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=donate.participant&participantID=578658.
Donations can even be a single dollar made via PayPal or your prepaid card. The amount is not important, and will not be disclosed to anyone unless you so choose.
3) Send a message similar to the one below to both Stephanie’s form online (by clicking “display my donation only to Stephanie”) and to my e-mail email@example.com:
CHRISTMAS PROJECT PEDROPASCALONLINE.COM + A brief English or Spanish dedication for Pedro + Name and Surname (if you want to be recognized).
What Stephanie and I will do:
Once all the donations have been collected, we will add them up and that will be the only amount that we will make known. Then, we will collect all the names and dedications in a single file and feature them on the fundraising page and/or on the site www.pedropascalonline.com. By December 25th, we will send a tweet to Pedro, with a link to the pages with all the dedications and names. We cannot guarantee that Pedro will reply, as I believe he receives hundreds or thousands of tweets per day, but we’re confident that it will definitely be a gift he will appreciate.
Last but not least, amongst all participants a small gift will be drawn at random. It consists of a small Oberyn Martell statuette, handmade by L’Albero Nero, which I will ship at my expense by priority mail (not courier). You will owe nothing, on top of the donation that you make, which I repeat, can be of only one dollar. (Remember that one dollar can make a difference in saving someone’s life!)
I’ll use your email addresses ONLY to communicate to the winner, so please use a valid email!
P.S. You can of course donate after December 18th, and I encourage you to do so! The limit of December 18th has been fixed only for our project, and is the campaign in which Pedro has supported.
Clarification for non U.S.A. fans: “Why should we donate for an American association?”
I am Italian, but I think that all the human rights and, in this case, right to live a healthy and meaningful life have no boundaries.
A fan has created a beautiful Oberyn Martell portrait that she would be glad to send in behalf all his admirers. We don’t have an agency address; but, if an address is obtained, we will try to send the portrait to Pedro.
